Scott Starin NOT for Congress
I recently made an inquiry to a local Neo Conservative Congressional Candidate in my State. Here is the email transcript.
Hi Scott,
I have a local blog and assist republican candidates in their campaigns in various ways. I just have a couple of questions:
What is your position on The Patriot Act
What is your position on the proposed 25$ vehicle registration tax
Whom do you support for the next President?
Thanks and I will look forward to your response.]
Scotts Response
Thanks for your interest.
I believe the Patriot Act has been instrumental in preventing another terrorist occurrence here in the US, since 9/11. I do believe that any restrictions in freedoms, liberties and constitutional rights should be implemented carefully, and rarely. I agree that we need to have expiration dates to renew these exemptions, to assure no abuses or unintended consequences are being realized.
I am against the proposed $25 vehicle registration tax. Although this is not a federal issue, I will weigh in in the issue. The vehicle registration fees in Colorado are already extremely high, and I feed additional taxes are unfair. I do support an increase of car rental fees, ad Colorado has a high tourism base, I feel that these visitors can help provide their fair share of using our roads. I also believe we need to enforce heavy vehicle truck inspections. It is estimated that 75% of all trucks on Colorado roads do not meet safety standard requirements. This contributes to the traffic tie-ups on I-70. Vehicles found with serious or frequent violations should be subject to fines.
I support John McCain for President.
Thank you for your interest in Scott Starin for Congress.
Regards,
Scott Starin
Republican Candidate for
Colorado's Second Congressional District
My Response
Scott,
Thanks for your response.
I will make note of your political beliefs and see to it that others know where you stand on the progression of the police state and national socialism as well as your position on John McCain which would basically sum up your view on a continuance of current "New and Abnormal Conservative" Mid-East policy.
